Talking about not seeing any large tech creations when in the last 40 years alone is on some sci-fi shyt. Bring someone from 1985 to now and they would be shocked at what is here now, hell you could bring someone from 2005 here and they would be amazed.

One of the dumbest things I have seen here. Just in the past ten years we have seen AI, IoT, Cloud Computing,

These things are built off of older tech that was created before you were born…..

DARPA dropped cloud computing in 60s…
AI research started in the 50s and started being utilized mainstream in the early 2000s…

These tech marvels(most of em) you guys are referring to were achieved using tax payers dollars via academia or government decades ago… What you’re marveling is private corporations buying this tech and introducing it to the every day consumer for huge financial gains….

People envisioned cloud computing in the 60's, ENVISIONED, not invented. It was not until the 2000's where it actually was developed and used.

AI was theorized in the 50's but we have not seen the widespread use of it until recently.

Because some people thousands of years ago were able to glide for short periods using primitive shyt, was true flight invented then? When people hundreds of years ago wrote books on WHAT could be done, is that when flight was invented? Or was it when the hot air balloon was invented, or when the Wright brothers took flight?

Inventions begin with a workable proof of concept, not when it’s adopted on a wide scale or privatized for financial gain… Military was using what would be considered(even if just conceptually) cloud computing in the 60s and 70s…. and it has been built upon over time to what we have present day….

You standing on the hill of the smart phone being revolutionary when all the tech has been around for decades…. the miniaturization of transistors is what allows various tech to be combined in a small computing device…. Transistors ain’t new… and you can’t call tech a major breakthrough unless it progresses society in a positive way….. Yeah… you on the wrong side of this
