There's absolutely nothing wrong with gun laws.

Every time someone gets killed, everyone attacks gun laws, the 2nd amendment, blah blah blah. That's not the problem.

The issue and the main reason why shyt will never change even if they do pass stricter laws is the production of weapons in the first place. There are too many guns in circulation and that's not including the new ones that get manufactured all the time. The first thing that needs to be done is to eliminate production of new guns, but we know that will never happen. Too much money involved. And quite honestly there are enough guns in circulation right now to last a few generations. Capitalism always wins. And even if you do stop production, it will increase the value of the ones already in circulation. Then you will have guns coming in through Mexico.

So basically, there is no solution. People kill people, not guns. We are so disconnected as a society and so desensitized to violence that its just part of our culture. Our way of life. People just need to be aware of their surroundings more.

You'd have to change the constitution, really.

And theres too many outstanding guns out there.

Even if you hault production there will be a black market. The only true way to control guns is (but even now it's too late because of once again the sheer number of guns in circulation) control how guns are made in the first place. Gun control would've been done through technology. The gun would have a smart chip and GPS only activating the gun in designated areas (Owners property, Gun Range, Hunting area). That way, even if you owned the gun you couldn't go anywhere you want and shoot it because it wouldn't activate. And finally, the second activation mechanism would be via the owners prints. If every gun was built this way, there would be little to now gun deaths, and even if they're were, the crime would be solved within 24 hours. People would be reduced to doing drive by's with nail guns or bow and arrows.

Very interesting take. Would only be a matter of time before hacks and overrides would occur on some demolition man tip. Take away the guns and homicides would significantly however, we humans seem to be pretty adept at finding ways to kill one another.

These are good sensible ideas, but the gun lobby would fight to the death against each and every idea. They tried to fight having serial number on guns.

The ugly truth is gun makers make good money on "lost" guns that eventually make it to the black market.

The gun lobby is just as evil as the Tobbacco companies were in the 80s and 90s.

How is personally eating oneself to death equivalent to being shot and killed in a classroom while dozing off during calculus?

because it's mostly harming kids who have fat fuk parents who then raise their kids to be fat fuks and die of heart disease
doctors are being sued for telling patients to lose weight these days and for telling parents their kids are overweight
that's how far gone we are

im not even against stricter gun laws or removing guns altogether, im just saying we need to stop being so one-sided on these things
