I am inclined to side with Austin. With the WWE Network now, it wouldn't cause any sort of spike in PPV buyrates. In regards to merchandise, I can't see the people who are pushing for the heel turn, to suddenly start purchasing Cena merchandise. Therefore I can only assume there would be a loss from kids (parents) no longer purchasing his face attire. And no one is close to him to take that role over.

The time to turn Cena would've been in 06 or even during his feud with Rock. Too late now, unless its just for a month for feud vs Taker but otherwise its past its expiration

With the right booking I'm 100% sure Roman Reigns and/or Seth Rollins can be just as big draws as Cena. No one else is gonna do as many Make-A-Wishes as Cena but that doesn't exactly correlate to being money.
Punk is my favorite of this era but I know that he's not going to be the #1 guy, especially cause he'll always be a better heel than a face.
