What people need to realize is none of these political parties care for you and you'd get more from them if you actually made them compete for their vote. However, for some odd reason, blacks get the impression that the democrats are down with blackness.
Black people first need to vote in order to get "more from them" we are already a minority and not even half of us vote. We don't have any political power because we don't participate in the political process. We don't go to rallies, we don't donate money, we don't write our elected officials. Regardless of which party we support, we won't get full respect until we really take part in the process.
the republicans may be openly racist, but is that really better than the subtle racism of the democratic party? The democrats openly support planned parenthood, and yet few know that the founder of planned parenthood created it as a way to kill black babies. Look up margaret sanger and the negro project. Look at the effect welfare policies have had on the black family. You don't think rewarding unmarried mothers helps break up the family?
it's not about how they feel, it's what they do. Republican policies purposely try to limit minority power and upward mobility. Democrats favor the lower and middle class, it is what it is. As for planned parenthood I don't care who started them, they do allot of good for the community. Not just for black people but all young people.
And please explain what welfare policies have done to the black family, last I checked we are doing better than we were 20 years ago. Unwed mothers are not rewarded, if you think being a single mother is fun or rewarding then I don't know what to tell you. Plus welfare policies are the same for all races, but you claim they are only bad for black folks

Nothing was said about the republicans putting condoleeza rice as the first black female secretary of state, with colin powell being the first black secretary of state and the only african american to serve as a joint chief of staff. Condi and Colin don't count since they are 'c00ns', but Barack, who always conveniently avoids speaking on black specific issues and avoids releasing official statements on black celebrities that die like Michael Jackson, but is quick to release one for white celebs. You mean the same guy that can sign the Dream Act to benefit folks who are not even legal citiznes of this nation? Bush donated more to African than Obama and Obama is over there killing Somalians with the drone strikes, but he's the 'real black man president.'
People did applaud them for having Condi, and at that time there was allot more republican support from black people. Barack speaks on black issues too, amongst other things he personally wrote a statement to be read at heavy d's funeral, and he spoke on trevon which was a bad idea politically but he still put it out there. What does donating to Africa have to do with black America? What does killing terrorists in Africa have to do with black America?
If you think just because some white men in a suit may puff a little weed, raise the roof when you come around, and pump a little Kanye or Jay Z can't be racist, then you are sorely mistaken. A democrat black puppet is the exact same as a republican black puppet. I didn't see the black community prospering significantly after Obama got in office. In fact, it looks much the same, if not worse off.
It's not the suit or the weed or the rap music. It's the POLICIES, at this point democratic policy is friendly to the lower and middle class, which is where most black people reside. Nobody prospered significantly after obama got in office. The country as a whole is a little better off now than 3 years ago. Did you expect black people to magically do better than the rest of the country during one of the worst recessions ever, just because the president is black?
