The WWF knew exactly who their audience was back then, which was everybody, and catered directly to them.

Current WWE has no idea who their demographic is, but THINK they do. They spent so many years trying to cater to soccer moms and kids, meanwhile you see more adults than anything, including a lot of dudes.
