There's probably a thread for this, but about to buy a PS4 and new TV: best combo?

So I have been out of the gaming world for awhile but I am about to buy a PS4 and a new TV. What is the best combination and if there's something new coming out, should I just wait? I can wait like a month or two. Thanks.

Why only Sony TVs? I thought Samsung had the best TVs?

Quality issues have plagued Samsung. I used to sell TVs for a living and they were the worst for longevity My current 32" was bought in 2007! So I know they definitely last

They may have changed since then, but a few reviews for their main model KS800, there are issues.

Additionally for integration with PS4 I wanted to stick with Sony (you can use the PS controller on the TV).

Plus this model at that price there aren't a lot of competitors for the features: 10Bit, 33ms input lag on HDR (for fast input gaming)

Unless you can afford more. I just couldn't

Yeah, Sony Tv's are tanks. The XBR 40 inch I bought in 2005 and gave to my mom eight years ago has no signs of wearing down :wow: Its the one with the built in surround sound and shelves . My 40 inch Panasonic Viera Plasma I bought in 2010 has done the job but it's not the best for gaming.

I'm in the same boat. I was :patrice: about getting that 60 inch Samsung curved that's getting rave reviews on this site when I get a PS4 finally. But if the Sony Bravia at the same size has better longetivity , then I'll stick staying all Sony.

One of my brehs who works in an electronic retail store told me that Samsung's aren't as reliable as Sony and LG sets

I bought the Sony X800D(43 version) and it's a pretty great TV for it's price range. It's not the best HDR 4K TV but it's good bordering on great with it's picture and color quality as well as it's interface. I love it.
