In NYC there’s been murders and robberies in these smoke shops as of late.

Downtown Newark is a wasteland and already full of addicts they don’t need a dispensary there.

Old people are what's wrong with the world. Listening to old fukks who are about to die worried about some shyt they won't even remember when that dementia kicks in.

But they’re putting dispensaries in Hoboken, which is way more affluent.

Not like the dealers gonna go away either, if people wanna smoke they’re gonna do it
The question is, would it still be an issue if it was just a dispensary and not a lounge?

I may be wrong, but it seems like most of the gripes have to do with that difference. Not to say they wouldn’t have other complaints if it WAS just a dispensary.

With that said, citizens have the right to fight for what they want ( or don’t want) in their communities. You can’t get mad at them for that unless its somehow discriminatory

Yeah but the city of Newark already voted to allow this in Newark. (Dispensaries, I mean)

What you’re mentioning about the lounge vs just a storefront makes sense.

But like, on the surface it just seems like they’re picking on him.

The dispensary ended up opening in Newark in 2024.

MOVE FROM THE GATE, NOW !!
Court documents revealed that on the day of their grand opening, the company was already 19 months behind on rent, a hole that proved insurmountable, given the pricey overhead. The company’s contractual agreement with Brooklyn-based landlord BMHC, LLC put them on the hook for $23,333 per month.
