The OP isn't one of those, "they don't make music like they used to" posts. I'm specifically talking about the DJs being trash and not giving a damn.

Hiw the hell do you mix those songs together AND they tell you you're doing a good job? :why:
DJ’s were always trash

At least they don’t interrupt the songs and talk over them as much like way back in the day …

That, payola, streaming service algorithm, weird radio nonsense of them not playing certain songs.

When the business becomes a business in the music business, it's sucks the soul out of the music and it becomes a chore to get through :unimpressed:
There was a reason the DJ was more important than the rapper when hip-hop first started.

Yep. Folks forgetting the impact off of Jam Master Jay alone with Run DMC.

They were the glue to the rhymes, and now it's just super producers, bedroom soundcloud rappers and cracked FL Studios with a 1tb wav collection of "sounds that sounds like Future" shyt :francis:

You should try listening to Chicago DJs.

*Mixes 4 drill songs

*Talks over in the middle to remember folks to stop the violence and put down the guns

*Resumes drill mix with sirens in the background

Djs weren't always thrash, strict playlist came in.
You must not remember that talking over the record bs … you must not remember not hearing certain songs and realizing it later because of your market or station didn’t fukk with the song artist or market … then payola was ALWAYS a thing from Chuck Berry days … I love how some of you Coll nikkas always put a happy spin on everything …

Radio DJs never gave you a consistent narrative from record to record, and they don't need to.
Yep. Folks forgetting the impact off of Jam Master Jay alone with Run DMC.

We haven't had super producers for at least 10 if not 15 years.
