WWE seriously can't believe in that Opposite Day bullshyt they spewing :mjlol: As if Roman Reigns was getting Stone Cold '99 pops before Mania and he's gonna get those pops next week or something when we know damn well the only place Roman gets cheered is a place like Greenville, SC or Brock Lesnar was getting mega heat before Mania. This is something along of "The most polarizing superstar" or "People cheer him or boo him but at the end of the day they get a reaction.

They might as well have this at the beginning of those shows :skip:

they used this statement the day after WM last year, and I think maybe the year before that too.

It's lame.

It's like they want a disclaimer to tell random fan in middle America, "these fans tonight aren't indicative of how YOU should be reacting"

in Vinces mind, he's still stuck in the 80s. "I push Hogan and the masses will fall in line and cheer for him"

This is it right here. It's up there with them calling cena "the most controversial superstar of all time" in late 2005-early 2006 when the crowd turned on him for becoming a one dimensional white meat baby face with no compelling characteristics. They've given "warnings" on tv in the big cities more often than they'd care to admit that it'll be a "strange crowd" that night, which is code for the crowd isn't a bunch of morons and has their own opinion. I'm pretty sure they tried to explain away the 2014 royal rumble reaction this way even though it was a non smark city too (Pittsburgh).

Back in the late 90s-mid 2000s when they would go to Canada and the fans would cheer for the Canadian wrestlers even if they were heels they would have Lawler call it "bizarro world"

Well to be fair back then the Canadian crowd would tend to cheer guys the American fans did not and the reverse. They did this on several occasions after the 90's too. They cheered Orton and booed edge at summerslam 2004 in Toronto just to give one example. The crowd cheered hbk as usual at mania 20, but the crowd in Edmonton a month later at backlash booed him out of the building. The mania 18 crowd booed the rock and cheered hogan. Not sure a crowd here would've necessarily done that. They are a little strange. The company is beyond patronizing about fans forming their own opinion though, regardless of where they are. When the crowd in Italy was violently booing cena in 2007, lawler tried to say it's because they didn't like his fashion sense. That shyt got me so heated that I changed he channel and sat the entire next week out.

I know it was different then, but just using that as an example that they've always tried to downplay or justify when a crowd wasn't cheering the guys they wanted them to and vice versa
