MEH

THIS SAME MOVIE
WITH A SERIOUS TONE
WOULD HAVE BEEN DOPE...

INSTEAD WE GOT A COMEDY,
WITH BAD ACTING
WHICH HAD NO FUNNY MOMENTS
AT ALL.

I liked it but the fact that I instantly thought Undercover Brother felt like a bad omen, and I like that movie too lol

I think it take a slightly more serious tone if they make a sequel.

good saturday night chill flick. didn't take itself too seriously, slowed down in a few areas, but acting was pretty good.

had some gems about how ills of the hood/poverty are allowed to happen and almost control the populace until corp america/gov/etc are ready to gentrify. then they clean all that up, raise prices, and swap out the demographics (aka push out the black folks). movie made these points in a very slick way because its based on reality. when a character in the environment dies he basically gets replaced by exact same person - thereby cloning tyrone. i can see this becoming a blassic down the line. a lot of references and experiences that black folks will catch onto right away.

This movie is a mix of “Undercover Brother,” mixed with “Us,” Get Out,” “The Matrix” and a little bit of “Attack Of The Clones” :russ:

I love this movie and I love the soundtrack even more. I hate the fact this isn’t in the theater because I would have paid good money to watch this on the big screen.

This is a movie Jordan Peele wishes he made. And that’s not a slight to him..

I can legit see this going down as a classic down the line. Great film

This nikka @Big Boss would be like this :russ:

First hour was great. Felt like it could end up being my favorite movie of the year. Second hour brought it down a bit but I still enjoyed it overall.
Definitely had a better grasp of tone and overall feeling. You could feel the "Netflix" of it seep in as the 2nd half of the movie starts.

Can kinda see why Jordan Peele strategy is make 2/3rds of the film be a bout tension/build up/mystery and then just make the 3rd act entertaining where the audience has room discuss what everything meant.

Getting all the answers + not entertaining/Netflixy ending hurts a bit.. Still 8/10 movie for me though.
