People don't tell us we do not have a culture because it is true. No, they tell us that, so we do not consider the culture we have worthy enough to protect it from being stolen. If we were so much lesser than everyone else, we would not be copied so much by everyone else. If we had no culture, no one would have anything of ours to imitate.

That is my take on it.

There's imitators and originators
That's what I get from it. All you gotta do is go look at an actual HBCU performance and see how it really is meant to look. Stop letting these other groups dictate your emotions. You're giving them the attention they seek

Can't copy unless someone is training them. Those band alumni of Jackson state have been doing this for years....going out to non white schools and teaching routines for a fee....call them out
