- First off, it's got to get off Friday night...the show just doesnt seem important no matter how good the matches are.....and some of them are really good, but it doesnt matter to ppl enough to watch on a Friday night The only other viable option is probably Thursday night. I guess that'd be rude to TNA, or maybe Vince would be embarrassed if TNA took away some WWE ratings in a head to head. Either way, it's gotta get off Friday night to matter more to people.

Plus a Thursday show would at least keep the angles from RAW somewhat fresh in the minds of fans.

- I hate the blue theme & graphics and the blue lighting. I mean it was kinda cool TEN years ago, but it's played now.

For me personally, the main reason I don't watch it as much is because no storylines ever really carry over into SD - so from a kayfabe standpoint there is no reason to tune in. They cycle the top Superstars (Punk/Bryan/Orton/Cena) on there, rarely see them all on the show, Punk/Cena especially. You could watch Raw, miss Smackdown, and come next Raw you wouldn't have missed a beat. Yes, you may have missed an odd gem here and there (ie: Orton/Cesaro this week), or a one-off promo, but hardly anything substantial in story. Given the fact that there is no separate rosters anymore (not that there have been in awhile, but even last year there were storylines that only occurred on SD exclusively), you're basically just watching individual matches that are meaningless. It's pretty much Main Event in importance. They don't promote SD well on Raw either.. they'll announce one match/main event match and that will be it for the night. Last time I was ever fully engaged in it was during the whole Bryan/Henry/Big Show WHC storyline. So continuation from Raw is the biggest issue to me.

Would be nice if it was live too. Think most people just sit back, read spoilers, then decide whether to watch it come Friday (like myself, since I'm usually out and just DVR it if the spoilers seemed interesting.)

One thing I do miss about the OG SD was the completely different entrance way. I know it's easier from a cost standpoint to just use the same Raw ones with a separate colour scheme, but would be nice if they differentiated them a little more.

Yeah, I miss the days when it was must-see. I remember them recently (sometime last year) advertising Punk making a "special" appearance on Smackdown. So I don't think anyone up top considers it as important as Raw either.

I never watch it. I read the spoilers and might check out a clip on WWE's YouTube channel if it sounds like there was something good.

fukk watching wrestling on a Friday night. fukk the show altogether. Nothing important ever happens there anyway. They could cancel it and I'd be cool with that.

They need to move it to another night and make it live.

I think changing everything up, possibly up to and including the name (Smackdown) should be considered. It just doesn't have that big show vibe.

I'm watching it now on DVR from Friday(1st time in a ong time) and there's been some DOPE matches on here.

Shield vs -DBryan, Sheamus, Christian......great match with alot of good spots.

4-way with Swagger, Henry, Rey, and Kofi that was very entertaining....

.....but it's waste b/c ppl on a large scale don't care on a Friday night to watch wrestling when they have high school football games/basketball games or adults are getting ready to go out, etc.

It should go back to how it was pre-brand split. Smackdown should be a continuation of what happened on Raw.

it pretty much is tho.

They carry over the angles from RAW. They just dont get advanced too much.

and at least during that era some important stuff needed to happen on the show to further the SD brand.

RAW - Held in Big Arenas; Tag, and World Championship only defended. Top to Top-Mid Tier mostly with occasional drop ins.

FRIDAY NIGHT MAIN EVENT - Held in Small Venues, with a old school RAW feel; US, Intercontinental and Women's titles defended. No top tier superstars at the arena, but they can do a taped promo for RAW. Rest of the card, mid to low tier.

The E likes it on Friday's because there's no other competion and it kills everything else on cable.

Wednesday and Thursday isn't gonna happen because there's to many shows on that day.

Tuesday is the only option and every time they've done a Tuesday show the ratings have been worse than Fridays.
