All I’m saying is this: Yes, you’re right…but leave black people out of it. The relationship between black voters and white voters is different than any other dynamic. I’d venture that white conservatives prefer black communities in comparison to anything else because of the shared history, especially in the south. Theres a mutual understanding there. It’s these progressive scolds that need to be put out the camp.

I wasn't going to, but I listened to this whole thing. This is my problem with Roland. He's one of the smartest political commentators out there FULL STOP, but he's a part of the machine. Bernie does have a "race" problem. Do I think he's racist, nah... does he have racist followers, SURE. But by the standard Roland is holding him accountable to, every other political candidate has a "race" problem. Kamala said she wasn't doing "anything" for black people only. I don't remember Hilary explicitly stating that she was doing anything specific to anyone's identity. And the shyt Biden did was symbolic gestures tantamount to nothing in the grand scheme specific to identity politics.
Roland knows who signs his biggest checks, and takes issue related to that. Who gives a fukk if Bernie didn't do his show? Too many people, ESPECIALLY NOW are doing this political puritan test for democrats. Maybe it was scheduling issues or MAYBE he felt it was a liability going on his show... I don't know. Unless we know the full story and aren't speculating, I DON'T GIVE A fukk. We can easily say the only reason Roland is criticizing Bernie IS BECAUSE he's never done his show.
