PolitiFact - Is Bernie Sanders a Democrat?

politifact did a solid job on this one. the whole story.

but i posted this for a reason. for those people who say stuff like that especially black dem or die dems. who use that as an excuse to excuse their bad choices of not voting for someone who has much better policies hands down.

I bet these people have no idea how many times Bernie has voted alongside dems to make sure they had the votes. Ask me i care if you're a dem or not if you fighting with me in the trenches? NOPE.

I dont care about labels. I care about actual policies/issues. Only silly low informed voters that love to fight about my team is better than yours, think like this. And thats black, white, etc. get off the MY team nonsense. a look at the policies.

who is putting forth the best policies. who's voting for the best policies. who's coming up with bill for the best policies. thats all you need to know.

...By 1997, Sanders was still not a member of the House Democratic Caucus nor a Democrat. But he voted with the party more often than the average Democrat (95 percent of the time opposed to 80 percent).

Accept it and move on.

If you care about policy then push for it.

We don't need a million threads saying the same shyt.
this isnt a million threads saying the same thing. there has not been a thread discussing when they talk about bernie as if he's some kind of fake democrat. when he clearly rides with them most of the time more so than other dems at some point in recent history per the article above. that is a legit discussion. it once again ties into the lie that has been told and that other people believe. the more threads that expose those lies the merrier. one big thread wont do it because people like to read headlines and the first few pages or the last few pages.

Medicare for all is 7 years old and is the single most popular policy on the Dem platform. The dem frontrunner doesnt support it. Same thing 4 years ago.

Your way doesnt work

Because you have the flip side of someone like Joe Manchin who has to take ugly votes to maintain a seat in a Republican area but rallies to the Dems when it’s necessary despite blowback.

Bernie gets to vote his conscience and vote with the Dems when he wants.

It’s like a person who comes around to f—k(mutually beneficial) vs the guy who is in a relationship and does the ugly day-to-day reality of dealing with someone else.

Bernie votes with Dems way more than Manchin. This is a horrible analogy.

That’s the point. Manchin has to take bad votes cause he has to keep his seat for the important ones and to keep the Dems close to a majority.

People questioned whether he and Doug Jones would hold the line cause they have to make harder choices than Bernie.
