I actually feel sorry for yall.

The Knicks-Hawks coli rivalry was a cool part of this whole thing. It doesn't feel right to tease yall unless your team is actually good.

So with that being said, I'll leave my trolling at the door and actually talk basketball w/ yall.

Since Millsap has one more year on the contract, he'd be such a valuable trade asset. He's very skilled though and it would be a risk trading him for picks that may never materialize into significant talent.

I actually think Schroeder is the better piece to part with.

Have almost everyone on the trade block except Millsap, get money off the books and lottery position will give yall a chance at a new future.

That Howard contract is a problem. The Nets are still thinking about putting butts in seats- they'd be a trade partner who'd take him in exchange for mid level talent.

shyt, see if yall could get Cousins for Howard and whatever else they want.

Cousins is a hot head but atleast he'll be, on paper, a valuable young talent to build around.

Cousins for Howard would be a dream come true for Hawks fans right now, but I doubt the Kings even entertain it. I'd be surprised if anyone is interested in acquiring Howard. No one really wanted him for this much during the offseason. I doubt they'd take him now with this contract.

I'm fully on the trade Milsap train now, especially after Al walked and we got nothing in return :snoop: If it's for draft picks, I'm cool with that. I'd prefer it really. I don't see a scenario where he decides to stay past this summer. He's at that point in his career similar to Al where winning a championship is the top priority now. Horford left cause he didn't think Atlanta had a realistic chance of winning one anytime soon and you have to think Sap is thinking the same. Get what you can for him and rebuild.

And I'm glad Bud wised up and finally benched Kyle. Might as well throw him in a trade package :camby:

fukk Demarcus Cousins :camby:

I don't want a low BBIQ, hot head on this team under ANY circumstances. He's a more talented Josh Smith and I don't want his bum ass back either

Don't wanna trade Sap unless we have absolutely decided to take this team in a different direction. This team is still a playoff team, but depending on where we're at at the trade deadline we might need to reevaluate

I hope we move Baze to SG and Thabo to SF...it's a tricky move b/c although Kyle is in decline he represents spacing & shooting. You don't have a good shooter/spacer in the starting 5 now and Thabo is a reluctant shooter. The efficiency of the starting 5 (which has already been bad) will be interesting to watch

:yeshrug: yeah he's got his issues for sure, but dude is still just 26. Maybe he just needs a change of scenery. I'd honestly be willing to take a chance on him, but that's just me.

If you had the choice, would you trade Sap for picks and rebuild or some experienced pieces and simply retool?

If it came down to it and Sap did not want to resign id trade him and retool. Y'all gotta think about what the Hawks (under a new owner Tony Ressler) are trying to do

-New practice/sports facility in partnership with Emory in Brookhaven (broke ground this year)

-$300 million refurbishing of Philips Arena and extended their lease with the city & Philips

This team is two years removed from 60 wins and has made the playoffs every season since 2008. I don't see them realistically blowing anything up with so many important projects underway, it would have to be a series of lateral mini rebuilds through trades of established players that allows them to continue to compete even if competing is only making the 1st or 2nd round.

And there is nothing about Demarcus Cousins that Bud would want to deal with. Yea hes talented & young but he's a head case. I really don't want him as a Hawk

I am with AVXL on this. Howard might suck but he's not a headache.

That spacing offense is a thing of the past with this Hawks team (at least with the starting lineup). The moment Bud choose Wop, Baze, and Schro, spacing went out the window. However the bench should be able to have hella spacing with Moose, Scott, Korver, THJ, and Delaney.
