I remember at first people were anticipated for Nas's responses to Piggybank and soon as he dropped Don't Body Yaself, It didn't really make a dent like Ether did. It was a sick diss but it was overshadowed by Jada and Styles disses back to him.

i think at the time nobody cared... ether's timing was perfect... it played a major role in it being so effective...

Lyrically I think Nas just wanted to show more of his technical arsenal with a few jabs. It was nothing harsh or hard hitting at all. It came across as a typical Nas song instead of a diss record because he didn't go for the juggular. Now Jada and them on the other hand was just vulgar
