they blew jason to hell in Jason Goes to Hell, and he was able to find bodies.

That was the retcon for the horrible Resurrection movie that followed but when H20 was made they were not planning on doing any more movies and it was Michael who's head got chopped off by Laurie.
Which is why conversations like this are useless because whether Michael and Jason get dismembered or not there will always be some trash retcon in the next movie to make it like it never happened.

Both should have put their energy into sports. Leatherface ran like a 4.4 40 and he wasting it in the woods. Saddest thing is wasted potential. 
Could have sworn they blew Jason up with rocket launchers and the writers pulled some mcguffin that he was a demon that escaped...i was like that was some bullshyt
