Actually Times Square is literally one of the safest places you can be rn in the country, besides the White House. They got that shyt on LOCK. They checking everybody’s personal belongings, pat downs, dog searches and all that shyt. But yeah, being out there waiting for the ball to drop is some cac shyt. It’s supposed to be around 7 degrees (not factoring wind chill) at midnight, they are wylin.

I think authorities take over the buildings overlooking Times Square so that people can't do that. But somebody could probably run the same setup at nearby places.

That claustrophobia infested place is definitely not where I want to be on nye. Forget the safety factors but some of those people are standing there all day to watch the same ball drop that I can see from the comfort of my or someone else's home. It's projected to drop to 60 degrees here and that's cold, so imagine standing in freezing temperatures all day, hell no.

Is it just the Square, or the surrounding areas? It seems like that would be impossible to search everyone between 38/46 streets
