M.O.P. and Fat Joe had a mini issue in the mid 90s because Fat Joe car got stolen from some BK nikkas. M.O.P. got his car back for him

Juelz Santana doing a record with Celph Titled

Jay-Z and Artifacts having a "miscommunication" during a radio interview. Jay was supposed to show up and missed it, and one of the Artifacts entourage members was basically calling Jay a culture vulture for not showing up. Jay and Dame came on air the next week and was like "I heard nikkas saying my name, can't none of y'all bum nikkas fukk with me. Stay out my business" type thing. This was around 1997, I believe

Papoose and Foxy Brown being under Smooth the Hustler's camp

Lady of Rage starting her career under Chubb Rock well before she signed with Death Row

Andre 3000 being a street nikka when Outkast first came out

Hype Williams being known for big budget rap music videos but one of, if not the FIRST music video he ever filmed was "How About Some Hardcore" for MOP. Lol the furthest thing from a "glamorous" music video

Pudgee the Fat b*stard whole career basically is forgotten even though he was really cool with 2Pac and DMX (they have multiple songs together), two of the biggest rappers ever. I think the gay rumor from Wendy Williams ruined him

Omar Epps being in a rap group "The WolfPack" in the mid 90s
There's footage of 2Pac in the trailer on the Juice set clowning around with Omar Epps and I swear one or the other brought this up.

LL Cool J importance to Hip Hop culture.
There is a generation of those born after 1996 that have no reccolection of LL as a pioneering act o Def Jam in the 80s
Also there us not a lot

They may have a vague memory of his 3rd act of his career in the early 2000s.

He as been a actor on CBS for a while.

Also currently he isnt regarded or celebrated or honoredin proportion to his importance to the genre of Hip Hop.

the same can be said for ice-t and will smith...
does anybody even remember cop killer

A$AP Yams ran A$AP Rocky’s OG twitter account & dissed a lot of rappers including Drake. Once Drake cosigned A$AP & put him on his first tour they deleted everything. This Salt N Pepa tweet is still hilarious.

Ice Cube past lyrics that could be interpreted as "racist" (by whites or non blacks) or cancel worthy.
He is pretty immune to that for some reason

Cube has some of the most blatant "anti semetic" lyrics of all time but still had no problem touring with lollapalooza and navigating Hollywood. He even succesfully side stepped his most recent twitter comments while Nick Cannon is scrambling to save his career. I chalk it up to just not responding I guess.

I really think it's a matter of platform.

Also radio including LA radio kind of has basically stopped playing him a long time ago despite him still making music

That doesn't have anything to do with his commentary. Cube musically is ice cold.. let's be real. He has this weird new simple ass cadence that is trash.

"Ghetto Techno" being a leaked track. The narrative now is that this is a song that was on BP3. Truthfully, Timbaland played this song around the time BP3 was released teasing it as a song for Shock Value 2 (Timbaland's own album that dropped a few months after BP3). "Ghetto Techno" never made that album either and it remains a leaked song that isn't even HQ.

Lil' Kim and Foxy Brown being on the same song together. They were on Total's "No One Else" remix as was Da Brat. That song is forgotten and the narrative is that Foxy and Kim never got along and Foxy never played nice with other female rappers.

The original Blueprint 3. It is forgotten that a Timbaland produced "Ain't I" leaked in early 2008 with Clue yelling BP3 all over it. Shortly thereafter, a HQ version of the song leaked and Timbaland offered to produce the whole album. Jay's response was that "whoever gives him 10 dope songs does the album". Months later, "Swagger Like Us" leaks as T.I. song featuring Jay Z, Wayne, and Kanye. Well, that song was originally a BP3 song. We got "History", "BK We Go Hard" featuring Santigold, and "Jockin Jay Z", but all those songs flopped and Jay redid the album.

"Crack A Bottle" being a Detox single before becoming an Eminem comeback record.

T.I. dissing Ludacris on Rap City's The Basement

Cee Lo Green being the most featured member of Dungeon Family. Before Andre 3000 was a popular guest rapper or even before Big Boi was popping up seemingly everywhere. Cee Lo was featured on songs with Common, Black Rob, Puff Daddy, and Lil Kim. Most of these were rap features.

Big Boi being the more prominent member of Kast. He was on singles (Missy's "All N My Grill", Trick Daddy's "Dro In The Wind" and Youngloodz "85") and album cuts with artists ranging from Jay Z ("Poppin Tags") to Beyonce ("Hip Hop Star")

That makes a lot of sense now, I’ve always had the assumption that Swagga Like Us was a BP3 song since the production sounded similar to the soundscape of BP3 itself. The more you know, I definitely got an even bigger appreciation of the song now :obama:
