Look at the threads regarding crime in Chicago. All of the Chicago posters sick of the gremlins running around terrorizing their streets and wanting more police intervention and everybody not from Chicago telling them that their wrong.

I don’t think it’s being against the violence. It’s the idea that those of us who don’t live in Chicago, or Illinois need to do something about it. It’s usually just a bunch of bashing, and no realistic solutions.

Frankly, most black people are not involved in crime. So the idea we all need to address it, and fix it is a little frustrating. If nobody is offering realistic action, it comes off like us putting each other down in front of white people, or making them feel justified in looking down on us.

The black community publicly addressing things isn’t going to solve anything. To say we never address it in conversation is false.
