I know a LOT of us are doing rewatches of Nitro and raw, so I am curious of new impressions.

This IMO is a thread large enough to take out of the standard thread

  • Saturn was fukkin awesome. I liked the ELIMINATORS and thought he was good or whatever after but dude was SHOCKINGLY underrated during his WCW run. He put. On a lot of good matches
  • I have ALWAYS liked booker T. Dude never halfassed in his entire career and its crazy rewatching his entire career and just thinking how money he always was. Its interesting that (from shoots) its clear wcw wrestlers thought so too because they had no problem putting him over, he lived with sid when he broke in, hogan said "those guys are your next stars" about the harlem heat, etc
  • Savage from mid 97 to early 98 was amazing. He gave off the psycho vibe as good if not BETTER than his wwf prime. His workrate wasn't up there because prime savage is another level, but his workrate was gold
  • Bret sucked entirely in WCW from day 1
  • 98 jericho. Is one of the best midcard heels OF ALL TIME. I'm watching the nitro after he won the cruiserweight title as a heel jan 98 and the crowd is legit chanting FAGG0T at him...:heh:he cameout in a rey mysterio shirt. He is making fun of Rey's torn ACL haha
  • The og WOLFPACK (hall nash SYXX) was incredible man...they just carried themselves like they were better than everyone, even when they jobbed they came out on monday like "yeah we dominated them :youngsabo:" Nash was funny as shyt...i forgot so much about his schtick...
  • Summerslam has been consistantly good for a while...2013 was as good as I remembered. That PUNK / BROCK match was crazy.
  • The OG DX stuff was no where near as funny as I remembered...but HHH's "you dropped the ball shawn" promo was a true classic...
  • The Dangerous alliance was awesome...like a stable of guys who didnt even really like eachother but were like "hey, we're all bad and hate sting...lets do this" :heh: The closest to that we had was league of nations.
  • 3 hour nitros are UNBARABLE
  • RAW until austin came of age, damn near was too.
Add on with hottakes. Merge if you think a seperate thread is worthess

Low key WM 13 had a decent build, most of the matches actually happened for a reason and built over time, a far cry from today.

Furnas and lafon were a good tag team, would fit in perfect with today's good in ring but zero personality wrestlers of today.

For a guy who's been on the wrestling business longer than anyone, Vince McMahon can't run the ropes for shyt.

I was watching the episode of RAW before WM2000 and they had an extra 11 minutes tacked on the end of the show. So Shane McMahon is knocked out after a Rock Bottom so Vince, Rock, and Mick Foley all took turns dropping the People's Elbow on him.

But Vince :scust:

Rewatching old WCW Nitros and ppv i have to say that Disco Inferno was better than i originally gave him credit for. Dude was a solid worker, had good matches with a lot of the cruiserweights like Dean Malenko and Juventude Guerrera, and was a decent former Cruiserweight and Television Champion. I think it was the "disco" gimmick that held him back.

Dean Malenko should have been WCW Heavyweight Champion and WWE misused him completely.

The original Saturday Night Main Event is the best show they've ever had. Better than Raw, Smackdown, Heat, whatever else.
BREH,YES.

SNME was fukkin money....its the show that got me into wrestling because my parents werent copping most ppvs, MAYBE mania, but during the megapowers buildup i WOULD NEVER miss SNME...and they are all great...100% agreed.

Rude was so fukkin good...over everywhere he went and is TRULY one of the GOAT heels...his last WCW run as champ was amazing...

And spot on regarding piper...he goes into his stupid comedy stuff which is REALLY old references...and is corny...hes a great and natural heel but as a baby face?

Wtf was he talking about the nWo "skateboarding" and stuff? :dahell:
