In my opinion they brought nothing good. Just because we have grown used to modern accoutrements and ease of travel does not mean the net effect has been "good". I'd say the net effect the white man has had on the world has been negative in the main. While native peoples have mainly had a symbiotic relationship with their environment, the white man has functioned more like a fungi. The world is nothing more than his substrate. He takes and does not give. He breaks down much faster than he builds up and even when he does build his constructions are still bad for the world at large. He poisons the air and pollutes the water. He even clutters near-earth space. When will the destruction stop?
