Good move. Four door impalas are not rare and rarely command prices above 20k, unless it's a big block 409 car, numbers matching. This one was either a slant 6, 283 or 327 small block car. 2 doors are always more valuable and you'll get your money back when you sell. The going price for 4 door 60's impala in great condition is in the 13k -20k price range. Don't feel bad, your friend saved you some money.
