Thinking About Backpacking Around The Globe For A Few Months

I'm kind of in a crisis brehs
I'm in that zone of not really being young, but still not a full fledge adult(22)

Been thinking of stacking about 5k from now til next year, and backpacking over a random continent for a few months(if possible a year). I never went away for school, and to be honest I just want to get lost in a new world.

Currently between jobs, but should be starting stage work in a few weeks, and I feel I have a future there. It's hard to put all the stuff you've been working on hold, however I've had a dream of just throwing everyone in the bushes and seeing the world for about 5 years now.

To travel around the world you need a minimum of $15-20k, but if you're content with just staying in 1 country you can stretch $5k out for a very long time and travel to neighboring countries.

You should do it, you're young enough and you have the rest of your life to be a worker bee. Set up a plan so you can make a bit of money wherever it is you go, just having $5k and bleeding through it in a couple months would be

Don't go during carnaval times, prices skyrocket during those times, if you want to experience Central/South America go during off-season times so the costs are down and there are less tourists.

If you wanna make it stretch though there's sites out there that'll show you how to travel on the cheap. You'll have to stay in hostels or couch surf, and that'll stretch your 5k even more. I'd imagine Eastern Europe of Southeast Asian countries might be the cheapest.

Now is the time. Just work on whatever skill you plan on makin money with while you travel so you can pick up making money when you're done.
