Thinking about switching careers ... anyone ever do this?

I love my job...but I'm 25...I need more money and more job security in the future.:wow2:

The uncertainty of this industry just got me shook so I feel like it is time to move on and try something new.

I can get like 10-15K more per year if I go into public relations and then it has a wider future

I'm scared though...because I got my degree in one thing, and always thought I'd be in this for life....but it just aint what its all cracked up to be.

They're equal. You (most people, at least) spend far too much time at work and concerned about work issues to be unhappy work.

Yeah, everyone gets satisfaction out of different things. Whether it is the job or whether it is quality of life outside of work. I used to be a "I want to be happy at my job", but now, the job just brings in money so I can enjoy life outside of work. Hobbies, TV, music, sports, crap, etc.

Yeah, look at federal or state jobs. Don't limit yourself to just private sector jobs. You never know.
