thinking about investing 3 racks to get set up and then I can get products at wholesale prices and sell them for higher...

What does my coli fam think?

Would you support a breh and at least shop on the site first or give me a look when shopping for various items ?

Should I do a Coli-wide coupon code for an additional 25% off ? (no coli cash tho )


Would any of my employed or unemployed Coli brehs or brehettes if we did an affiliation partnership (basically I give you a code and if anyone shops on the site and uses your code they would save 5% and you would make 5%...so I make money and you make money for having someone else buy something cheaper from me than they would from amazon)

How it works is...I run a website (not through Amazon...my own website)...I offer products, as soon as I get an order on my site I make an order...it gets shipped to the customer. Different than Amazon because I am my own entity and no affiliation (as far as my customers know) to anyone else.

Interesting. Much like FBA it sounds pretty hands off. How much does whoever's doing your fulfillment get off of each product? With FBA I get about 66% of the selling price.

Depends. The thing is I would set the prices. I know what my wholesale costs would be so I can sell for a dollar more, or I can sell for double, triple (whatever makes sense). No set limit but typically I would get the products at about 33% MSRP.

Dropshippers tend to drop their own marketing materials in the packages sent to your customers in order to siphon off your customer base. You would have to make them sign a NDA and even then I would not be sure how much of a help that would considering Chinese suppliers can be sneaky.

Just pick products u know gonna move. Try to sell in bulk. I would find a manufacture and sell to customers in wholesale bulk.

My supplier isn't in China (their's probably is ) but this is a terrific short read.

I tried and did it for a year. It can be profitable but it can also be a headache. Once u start moving number you'll have people asking for a refund or defective items or the item doesnt get there in time. If you commit to it full time u can do it, part time it will become a huge headache with the more u start making

i have not personally done it
there was a group of women i observed

basically, micro-micro-niche items
$500+
make a small website store (shopify??)
selling only 3-5 items
then tweak/optimize your site until you get to 1 sale/day
$100+ daily
then repeat with different websites

obviously not built for repeat customers
just that 1 time purchase

they picked their niches by browsing wayfair
everything on wayfair is dropshippable

i can type more later if there is interest- gotta run

If you don't have alot of capital for advertising then starting off with a website will be difficult. You will have a higher chance of success starting off on ebay or amazon where a customer base is already established, and you can have your dropshipper include your business card in your shipments promoting your website. I don't know if its the same with amazon, but when a customer places an order on ebay, you'll have their email address which you can add to your mailing list to promote future offers on your website.
