:leostare: what "stage", apps are pretty much a mainstay
It's a stage breh, apps are programmed for each individual system when they don't have to be. Responsive designs are the future to cover all users. Its a shame people feel like they need "apps" when most of the trash you cats download can easily be handled by your browser.

I am not saying that I do, what I am saying is that it CAN be done if developers would spend the time to do so.

Apps are glorified shortcuts...most are already using your internet connection as it is. Its the reason why I think ChromeOS has a bright future...its just a little early and people are still stuck in this "app" system which is about 3-4x the amount of work for developers. Right now if you want to reach everyone you need to develop for iOS, Android, Windows Phone, Windows, Mac OS X...etc etc.

A clean and responsive site will cover everyone across all platforms and resolutions. It will definitely be the way things are made in the future.

Tinder isn't doing anything special that requires a dedicated app.

The Coli is a perfect example of this...they use xenforo and people can view the "mobile optimized" and desktop version on...

BlackBerry
iOS
Android
Windows Phone
Symbian
WebOS
Mac OS X
Ubuntu
Windows

etc etc...

apps when you sit and think about it...don't make sense for about 90% of the shyt you guys do.

Passport Abuse
I have T-Mobile and I want a phone to use in Europe while I am there.....what search terms do I look for if I want a phone to work with Orange? Do I look for "unlocked" or "clean ESN" or "GSM?" All of this is new to me....basically I know it needs to be UNLOCKED and actually it does not even need to work on TMobile, just ORANGE cuz I'll be in the EU for a minute.

Last year I used my HTC radar to take a lot of pics, but I lost it :flabbynsick:
