thinking of finally starting my dreads

Its time for this curly bush to even though I've gotten so many hoes with it. To many people trying to rock this shyt now, making me look like a clone or some shyt. I usually keep my hair In a bush or I twist it up to make my shyt grow faster/ keep my hair from breaking. I'm trying to figure out how do I transition from twist to dreads? Do I keep my hair twisted for like 3-4 months until they lock? That seems impossible even with a shower cap on the twist on the back of my head usually come undone like a week and a half in. Also how do I my mom how I want them done. I don't wNt them all thin and girly having me look but I also don't want them fat as hell like gunplay ugly ass shyts. This one coli poster has an Avi of like a pharaoh guy with one of those hats on and the other side the guy has dreads. That's my ideal thickness right there. If any could find his Avi is appreciate it.

I'm 3 months into getting locked up , Started by getting a lady to do comb coils in my fro. My shyt just starting to hang. My neighborhood gonna look like a Chief Keef video in about 2 years. Like 2 outta 3 nikkas is at some point in the dread journey from starter locs to nikkas shyt flowing down they back no homo.

It took me 3 or 4 attempts to get mine started but once I found something that worked for it took about 5 months for it to fully like. I'll admit I didn't get it retwisted as often as I was supposed to but that's because I liked the rough look,

I don't like locs that look too neat like perfect square parting. I like the organic look, hand-parted Rasta style.
