I never finished my bachelors degree in business but lately I see why I should have. Now I want to re-enroll and finish what I started years ago.

Anyone have experience with returning to school after a long hiatus? What is college like these days? Any advice you can offer a breh?

Do it!! I finished both my bachelors and masters at a later age. I’ll probably go for a PHD in my 50’s. I love learning and you’re never too old to do so. I also prefer a structure and curriculum. Self learning is hard for me.

doing that now..

if you dont want to be in a class... do it via distance learning... and even better.. doing it at your own pace...

mine happens to be way faster than the normal pace..i am no longer tied to a classroom's speed

Do it online. Eliminates many of the concerns you might have.

How long did it take you to adjust to the course load?

That’s what I’m thinking. I’ve been researching Thomas Edison State University. They seemed geared for adult learners that don’t have time for classroom study.

My cousin did it.
You can do it. The school you attended before should have online options. Might want to see what they offer to adult learners. Covid has sped up the evolution of distance learning, so if they don't have practical online option, they will soon.

You can do it.

I went to school at 30 and majored in Accounting. It was a satellite campus for a no-name school (Indiana Tech). Took accelerated classes and graduated at 33. I got a promotion every year for the next 7 years. I'm now 43 and make $116k a year (I am in a high cost of living area though...).

It's not too late.

More power to you. I'm not sure if there is a online/business Bootcamp that companies give stock to, but if possible, I would research that as well. AFAIK, schooling is basically an online course at the moment and for the next few months (or year?) and so I would weigh whether it is worth going back into debt for an extended period of time especially since the economy is currently in a recession.
