I am thinking of moving to Dallas from the Philly area. What should I know before I go?

Appreciate the feedback in advance.

Dallas is a weird city.. has no identity..and one of the most irrelevant big cities in America.

Texas as a whole is wack, but gun to my head i'd choose Houston.
I've worked in Houston, but looking for a quieter life with solid weather. Plus i think i will have more luck in Dallas than Houston.

It’s not bad here. Haven’t really got a chance to explore much since I moved here a week before the Covid lockdown (was supposed to be moving to Austin). Probably gonna stay a while longer and transfer from UT to a school up here. It’s a weird mix tbh

Do not move to actual Dallas. It’s getting expensive and overrun by trash of all races. I just moved to downtown Dallas and there are a lot of trashy people of all ages and races downtown. Just so much trash. You’ll probably end up like most transplants to this area and end up in Addison, Plano, or Arlington.
