Not random at all if your black. My dad is a police officer and retired from the military. He would( and still does) get checked way more than his qp workers. He says other black people do as well. He said he's watched so many brothers come and go cuz they can't put the blunts down

He worked domestic violence most of the time, so he actually was doing one of the only things I respect about police officers.I mean he's told me he's really never arrested people for marijuana( excluding large amounts, like more than an oz) he would just toss it. This was in the 90s where'd you'd go to jail for a 10 bag smh. Cocaine,crack,heroin and pcp( he's metro police) yea he would have to arrest you. Told me he cried when he had to shoot another brother cuz he tried to pull it on on him. Said he had to do paper works for weeks and all types of counseling. I can tell he doesn't really like it anymore. He knows a lot of bad cops, but he's nothing but a cog in a big ass wheel bro he can't really change shyt. He told me when he retires he's gunna smoke a "fat blunt" to see what the hype is about

For a non-American this is crazy that your job can even test you on your personal life...I mean over here it's only police controls that can test you, obviously if your work is affected by drugs and whatnot you'll have issues but they can't randomly test people....there has to be an issue with your work first. And even then I doubt your job can test you.
Unemployment would go up 20% if they did
