i'm guessing it's some black woman lamenting the racist experiences she had in puerto rico. it's funny how ricans try to deny they came from black people. it's like people aren't even being raised on their history. they descended from slaves, and now they want to act brand new? "oh, we ain't black." :snoop:

The Ummah!
half way in basically she says she felt the same racial issues in PR as in the states, and DR had a lot more issues. People called people with nappy/curky/kinky hair something that translated to bad hair, and most Ricans are brown skin but considered themselves white.

DR

i came in here before but that video is too long and im at work. wont be able to watch it uninterrupted.

that said tho i assume she went thru some racist shyt out there. puerto ricans are a little racist in my experience. where i work, hotel in midtown, most of the guards and bellmen are puerto ricans and ive heard some pretty racist shyt come out of their mouths because im a very light skinned dominican. they usually think im white so they feel comfortable. i also heard that they are nasty to the dominicans that work in the kitchen upstairs and called them racist names. most puerto ricans i know personally arent bad but since i started working here i started to see it because most of these PRs are in their 60s

Puerto Ricans are very, very mixed in all honesty. Some are black but many are Trigueno or Triguenito and a lot are White. Racially speaking the PR makeup is mirror opposite of Black Americans.
