one of my g's got one to the neck some years back and is down bad paralyzed from the neck down. dude was cool as hell but he played the streets for sweet one day and almost got sent up. bro thought he could try and buy weed to smoke from the other side (same hood but separate sides of the politics) and flashed his burner only to have one of them come out blasting acting like they were gon sell him what he was looking for. word of advice if you aren't good friends with people even if your just cordial do not flash or show them you're strapped they can take it totally wrong.
when he woke up from his coma he and realized he was paralyzed he shed tears and said we should have just let him die.

bro has kids and everything. he coulda had the world man, charismatic as hell had all the women he wanted. I hope one day there's a way to repair spinal cords man fukk.

True but pointless. Cats that's already in the streets like that aren't the ones to be yelling at. Fix the systems that create the conditions and also put the time and energy into the parents that's not raising the kids that turn to the streets. Ain't too many guys out there with two loving, non criminal parents shooting blocks up

I've met plenty of "street dudes" who grew up on the same block as me that had both parents in their home with decent jobs
All this fantastical lore and lure about the mythical streets..what's so special about being on the street with bums all day

At work, when I get floated to the trenches, it's sad having young black men as patients: trach'd, feeding tubes, vegetables essentially. Can't do nothing for 'em but keep them on full assist on the ventilator, have them clean/presentable for the 1 or 2 family members who visit every now and then, and give them meds to try and keep their nervous system from going out of wack. At some point, they then get shipped off to an LTAC (worst place on earth) to die essentially.
Outside of tragic motor vehicular incidents, it's mostly gun play and bullshyt with black men.
