Try not to hit your head on the wall too hard when you read this: Paris Hilton is being paid $347,000-an-hour to "DJ" at a club in Ibiza.

Again, while you try to decide whether to make a partial payment on your cell phone bill this month and nurse that same $7 beer for an hour, Paris Hilton made close to $3 million for four nights of "work," according to The Sun.

The Arizona Republic wrote:

Paris Hilton scooped $2.7 million for four nights work as part of her new two-month DJ tour.

"The heiress kicked off her run of 13 gigs with a set at Ibiza’s Amnesia club, where she has a residency, on Wednesday night, but she was blasted for earning her huge $347,000-an-hour pay packet for simply ”pressing play” as other workers reportedly did a lot of the technical work.

An Ibiza source told The Sun newspaper: ”She’s making $2.7million from the four nights – $347,000 an hour.

"The crowds do seem to enjoy it but most are too off their faces to care that she’s simply pressed play on a Beyoncé megamix.”

Erick Morillo says the club scene and music industry are suffering from lazy star DJs
Mix master calls artists like David Guetta, Avicii and Calvin Harris 'pop stars' who only play their own hits

Clubland mix master Erick Morillo is livid that big-name DJs insult audiences by mixing on computers during live shows, and he wishes someone would pull the plug on them.

Some people just got it good in life

I have a friend who busts his ass to get on and he's still grinding dj at parties n such

That's the point i'm making.....REAL DEEJAYS who know and respect the craft barely can pay rent with all the fukkery going on in the game

When i deejayed my first gigs it was high school after parties right across the street from a housing projects toting my own damn equipment and doing it for free....

cause i loved what i did and liked the notoriety....

i remember the excitement i felt when i entered college and was selected to deejay the Homecoming Class party on campus and everybody loving the set me and my partner played :ohlawd:

i can't forget interning at a AM radio station digging in the crates to get airplay for records that weren't even marketed for radio, but just out of the love for the culture and the need for these records to be heard

can't forget my first foray into Internet Radio and having to use my own personal finances to keep the station afloat admist extortion like broadcast fees and uncooperative non-business like artists and staff whom were just trying to get over with no concern for the sacrifice i was making for this profession...

and a wealthy airhead socialite byatch gets a gig at the epicenter for Global Deejay Culture (IBIZA) just for being pop culture tabloid icon :to:

Jam Master Jay is rolling over in his grave :snoop:

That shyt has NOTHING to do with these EDM djs fammo. if they can keep the party going and fill the house nothing else matters...and the name does the latter...if the party sucks the THOUSANDS who are there will fukk shyt up anyway so you know the music was goin.

Paris hilton took money off another dj who was gonna make $300,000 and did at another venue in vegas or prague or rio. That price tag is for GLOBAL djs in that world, not anyone who gives a shyt about "the culture" (which doesnt even translate to edm).

Pay the rent :rudy: are we really shedding a tear over her taking a payday from deadmau5 or skrillex?

Nicky Hilton Is Engaged to Banking Heir James Rothschild
The couple met at Petra Ecclestone and James Stunt's Italy wedding in 2011
Mr Rothschild apparently flew from the UK, where he is based, to the U.S. to ask Ms Hilton's parents for her hand in marriage
The heiress has been married before - she wed childhood friend Todd Andrew Meister in Las Vegas

Five stars and beyond! Nicky Hilton is engaged to her boyfriend James Rothschild, a source exclusively confirms to Us Weekly. The Hilton Hotels heiress and fashion designer, according to the pal, said yes to her banker beau last weekend in Lake Como, Italy.
"They are both really excited and incredibly happy," the insider tells Us of the pair.

Hilton, 30, and Rothschild (the heir to the famous European banking family) started dating in 2011 after meeting at supermodel Petra Ecclestone and James Stunt's wedding in Italy. The sentimental spot was the ideal setting for Rothschild to propose.
"They went on a romantic anniversary trip over the weekend," the source reveals. "He took her out on a boat into the middle of Lake Como and he proposed, got down on one knee and everything. It was incredibly romantic and beautiful."

Rothschild, it turns out, went to great lengths to make sure all the details were secured before he popped the question. The insider tells Us: "Last month, he actually flew from England (where he is based) to the States to ask her parents for her hand in marriage!"

Now that she's said "yes," the newly-engaged couple are celebrating with an engagement-moon of sorts. "They are going on a road trip now throughout Europe and celebrating," the pal tells Us.
The bride-to-be, younger sister to Paris Hilton, has been posting several happy Instagram snaps from their engagement excursion. So far, the pair have made their way through Milan, Lake Como, and Rome.
