it's been slow for the underground acts. last year was full of great tapes from hella different regions. I don't know what it is about this forum, but a lot of the posters here tend to be late to new artists, and the discussions usually die hella quick.
outfit, tx prolly the most overlooked from last year though, figure this thread might attract the people interested in diff. artists.
this board is the best mainstream board, though.
It mirrors real life fan ideals the most.
the reason why I like this community is it does not feel like a resthaven for disenfranchised overlooked people.
you can judge the mentality of the general rap fan from this board, better than going somewhere else.
an a&r should take this board over the others, as it emulates exactly how it is out in the sckreet.
the rare exception content based culturally knowledgeable posters are few and far between just like in real life.
this community has not been fully knowledgeable since the usual suspects crushed the buildings.
the dipset spam days is when the conversion to the mindset of the regular uninformed rap fan took over the main aesthetic here.
which was more than twelve years ago.
the other boards, still do not mirror what the general idea of rap fans are.
this board and the community have mirrored the boom of the sales spike era, exactly how it is when it became hip to really like rap, for the general rap fan.
the other boards continued the main complextion of their boards being highly knowledgeable from a toy perspective.
while this board, went from completely knowledgeable about the culture.
to emulating the ignorance and noob gateway rap fan more than a decade ago, back in 01.
before that in the late nineties to the that time.
this board was filled with knowledgeable culturally relevant and informed posters.
