Forget what the numbers and the charts said. From Nas to Kendrick to Lupe to Killer Mike to Game to TI to Ross etc 2012 was a damn good year as far a good music was concerned. I think we can say we got proly three classic to near classicalbums in LIG GKMC and Rap Music released this year. And in any given year that is all you can ask for. This just proves to me that rap is still alive and will never die. I just hope 2013 brings us more of the same.

My thoughts exactly, you got THREE classic albums (GKMC, Life Is Good, RA.P. Music) a near classic (Food & Liquor 2) some very dope releases (Trouble Man, Jesus Piece, Give Me My Flowers While I Smell Them) even the disappointing albums weren't outright wack (GFID, Cruel Summer) creatively and lyrically 2012 carried on from a strong 2011 as a further renaissance for Hip Hop

the last 6 months. Been crazy. Even some nice mixtape releases also. Artists had to step their game up and for the most part, they did.
