Taylor Swift was going to put up numbers regardless because she's is one of the biggest pop stars of all-time.

That said, I'd say one big reason for such a discrepancy is because everyone else's shyt sounds the same.

Music industry went stale and yes, the way they count the numbers shouldn't be compared to how they used to do it.

They changed the way the charts work years ago, so things like this keep happening.

it's kind of hollow because every song on MJ's Thriller would have been top 10 if it came out during streaming. Same thing with Snoop's Doggystyle. Hell 50 Cent would have had 4-5 joints in the top 10 when GRODT came out. Lady Gaga could have done this if The Fame Monster came out during the streaming era.

This is where I miss the days where you had to physically get your ass out of the house and go purchase an album at an actual store.

This streaming shyt is comparing apples to oranges.
I mean that’s essentially what her fans did……

Her fans are actually physically going out and buying her album compared to other artist. Dudes on this site don’t even support their favorite artist like that, but clown people who actually do.

Didn’t this happen with Drake and about 7 of his songs?

Music charts are toast due to streaming. It’s not the music industry that’s dying; it’s the way sales are being recorded.
