My roomate and his girl of two yers broke up two months ago. He's been in denial about it. Turns out she was paying for damn near everything of his.

From rent to food to clothes. She was working at the NY times and then Time warner. He was working at restaurant to the next restaurant to the next restaurant and getting fired for coming in high. She's 24. He's 33.

Guess he realized he lost his meal ticket cause the guy doesnt have any realistic skills except for working in kitchens. Working in kitchens while trying to pay the rent aint cutting it in nyc. During the time i started working doing real estate the arguments mounted and got to the point where she just walked out with a suitcase one day and left. When she came back her and her mother just picked up her stuff and bounced back home.

He tried to act like she ws crazy but he cant admit she left him and he cant afford to stay in nyc.

Everytime i come home from work the apartment is dark and dreary except for him next to his laptop. Its sad to witness since this dude is a friend of mine but i shouldnt have to tell a 33 year old man that he needs to step his game up and fend for himself. When i ws struggling he was lowkey trying to take shots at me...now that im not and i have a better job than him and making good money dude has been acting all salty. I see the difference in how we live right now. Im always out and about at the office dealing with my clients and showing apartments...hes in his room fiddling about on his computer.

Hes moving back home next week. He told me it was because of a family member but really its cause he cant find another job...doesnt have enough connects to hustle dro here...and he cant afford to stay in nyC. Dude be eating hard boiled eggs, ramen noodles, and toaster strudle for dinner. Constantly buying struggle food and not eating it and throwing it out. Dude has made the apartment so depressing it makes me not even want to be there which is why im at work from 10-10 sometimes...

Just a precaution...

Sounds like a cautionary tale about being broke with no plans
It really is.

My roomate was hating on me for a while...saying college is overrated (he dropped out of college and I think high school)....when I was struggling to find work and he thought working at yuppoe restaurants would sustain his lifestyle...

Now he has no plans no backup no degrees no certs a resume that only has restaurant work on it..wasted time here in NYC getting high being an antisocial shutin...and now he has to live with his parents at 33 going on 34.

Not a good look breh.

:wow:

What does this have to do with dating women with money?

Your friend is a bum..........
Its kind of sad but he doesnt want to face reality.

It really doesnt have to do with dating women with money.

I saw that we were going on different paths and i felt the need to speak up about it...but sseriously at this age this shyt should be self-explanatory. The fact he doesnt get it at his age is sad as fukk.
