A) it's sad that it cost $33,000 in one of the cheapest cities in America. Can you imagine what the same cost would be in Boston or Seattle or Miami? Also extremely ironic that Nashville is a pro-life City in a pro-life state....


B) even once you account for the cost of living in both countries the American stay is still five times more expensive than the Chinese one if you adjusted for income and expenses for each country. China is running at about a 1/6 price multiple for equivalent things in America so the Nashville stay would be equivalent to paying $5,000 in China, versus the 1,000 the first couple paid. So clearly we have a skimming problem in healthcare.

Yup. Unlike our own country, they can admit when they are wrong about social policy.

One of my favorite parts about highschool social studies was learning about this. in the 20th century , it was easy to have kids, but they aborted/abandoned the girls during the one child policy since women were useless for working the family fields or factory work. It got so bad that ultrasounds were banned for new parents so that they wouldn't know the sex of their offspring and kill it.

As a nation , they fixed it by eliminating the child restrictions and educating about the importance of women , but they are still reeling from bad decisions of the prior generation in the modern era.

Now compare this with our own failed policies of the last century like trickle down economics or abortion bans which still have adherents in 2025 despite their horrible outcomes.

I don't believe you. Costs for a lot of procedures went up dramatically with COVID. I was quoted that price 15 years ago in the outskirts of a Atlanta in tiny ass Riverdale hospital .

So I doubt you could deliver a baby, incubate it if necessary , house the mother, and Medicate the mother for that price anywhere in America in 2025


Might be able to pull some magic in one of the territories tho (Guam, Puerto Rico, Mariana) ...
