Why would you be happy just making $20k?

If you got enough sense to buy a house you should be hustling

Even if they sell its a come up for their lifestyle

He did exactly what I want to do - purchase the house outright and not have a mortgage payment to worry about. Making $20k a year, though, I would not have bought one that was $240k. Would have made sure I got something small and manageable with lower taxes. If he was content to stick with $20k as an income, he should have made sure he purchased accordingly.

$2400 is a joke , i paid $8500 & change last year
