but who wouldn’t of beat the Errol that showed up yesterday? Danny Garcia doesn’t beat the Errol that showed up yesterday? Shawn Porter? The Thurman that beat Barrios? The Pacquiao that beat Thurman? Compare the tape and look at the movements side by side in Danny Garcia/Spence fight. We saw a shell of man who was a shadow if his former self. There might need to be some regulations put forth in place for weight drain

This looks makes Fury-Wilder II look like a close fight

This Jones-Tarver II look graceful

He might need to hang it up and although I wasn’t a fan of him before I certainly would like to see the greatest comeback of all-time but things weren’t looking right yesterday

A lot of people are saying this, but this isn't true.

By 2001, Trinidad had beat an old Sweet Pea and basically borderlind retired him(he had one more fight). Decisioned DLH in a controversial decision. Moved up to 154 and basically ruined the careers of Red and Vargas becoming unified there. Then he Moved up to 160 and destroyed the #2 guy in Joppy by knocking him out. After that, he was the 3-1 favorite against Hopkins who was considered "old" at the time when he was 36. Hopkins put on one of the worst one sided azz whippings we've ever seen from an underdog and stopped him in the 12th with his dad stepping in to save him. After that, tito beat gatekeeper Cherriffi and retired. Basically, hopkins retired him.

When floyd fought Diego Corralles, Floyd was the underdog and Corralles was a top UNDEFEATED fighter in the sport. Floyd dropped him 5 times on a way to a stoppage win in a one-sided azz whipping

Jones moved up in 1994 to fight Toney. At the time, Toney was considered top 3 pfp in the sport by many along with Sweet Pea and Chavez(that Sweet Pea was robbed of a win in his fight with a year prior). Roy shut him out over 12 rounds including a knockdown. Now Toney was indeed weight drained due to a fat camp, but that's not Jones' problem. he should have moved up and stayed off of the Burger King. And Toney is one of my top 5 favorite fighters of all time.

The reason I chose those 3 is due to Corrales, Toney, and Trinida ALL being dead in their prime and undefeated fighters blowing thru the competition only to be thoroughly dominated. Spence isn't the first and won't be the last. This is what happens when everyone has a voice through a social media outlet while not having the knowledge to match their postings. And trust me, there are more. We can go back to the 80s when Honeyghan came over here and Upset UNDISPUTED/UNDEFEATED CHAMP Donald Curry by dominating him before it was stopped on the stool after 6. So I'm not picking on you, but what happened last night in the fight is not the first time it's happened among 2 elite fighters in boxing history.

:mjlol: Bud destroys ANY version of Spence. There's just a significant speed, accuracy, skill, and power gap. :yeshrug:
This why I kind of got annoyed by Spence and James repeatedly saying he lost cause "his timing was off"
breh Bud basically said Mean Machine hits harder than you, Spence admitted Bud power bothered him from round 1, Bud had an answer for everything Spence did, Spence got his head boxed off and beat up
Maybe on Spence best day Bud only drops him once as he cruises to a UD, but it didn't look like any version of Spence is on Crawford level

I expected to be entertained by a high quality boxing match between two of the best welterweights.

I didnt expect to feel sorry for one of them halfway through the fight. It was hard to watch one of the best boxers in the sport basically become a punching bag.
In a way much more glaringly so than any if Bud’s previous opponents?

He was abusing him in there

Don't worry, we will see more of this in the future. Fighters talking about this A side/B side bullshyt, stalling a fight for 5 fukin years only to see one of them dominate the other when it finally happens in their 30s. Candidates for future fights like this

Haney/Stevenson(and I don't know who will be fukin up the other)
Frank Martin/Keyshawn Davis(these mfers are not fighting until 2025 or 2026)
Boots against anyone that's actually good

Let's not get carried away, I wouldn't say it's the greatest dethroning of an elite boxer. Spence is a good fighter and very one dimensional. But not an "elite" fighter.

:dead:

Bro he got beat by a better boxer. That don’t take away the fact he is an elite fighter. And saying he one dimensional is crazy. Crawford is just that much better than everybody else
