This is very true but on many levels. After WW2 there was abundance. Many manufacturing jobs, vets buying homes with the GI bill, cashing the money they earned in the military, sports were all white, towns were segregated. This is the white picket fence era these CACs love. Civil rights era didn’t pick up steam till the late 50’s.
It's a myth. Cacs in the 80s yearned for the 50s and Cacs then yearned for the 30s.
This paranoia isn't new or novel. It was the Chinese "yellow peril" in the 20s.
And the Irish Catholics before that.
