Billy Donnelly: Let me ask you about the Money in the Bank. There’s obviously been a lot of attention paid to performer’s frustration as of late for obvious reasons. I don’t want to get into specifics about that because there are lots of people who just don’t know anything, but as someone who has seen their pushes start and then get cut off, and who’s had Money in the Bank title shots that didn’t go further than that, how do you deal with the highs and lows and creative inconsistency, I guess, that can befall someone like yourself and your character?

Damien Sandow: I think your actual language, in my opinion, is what’s wrong with a lot of the Superstars. I don’t mean that as a shot at you… let me explain myself.

Billy Donnelly: Sure.

Damien Sandow: Their frustrations and, I hate this term, but “push.” What is a push? Every time you get a chance on television, that is a chance to win fans. That is a chance to create good content. A lot of the guys… “I’m not working in the main event.” If they have a problem with that, you get yourself in the main event. If you’re not, you make sure your match is the best match of the night. You can only go forward. I never saw me losing my briefcase to John Cena as a bad thing, it was a chance for my character to evolve. And evolve I did! I think, looking back at my career, when it’s all said and done, that night will go down as one of the most pivotal nights in my career.

He's not wrong. Cena gave him an opportunity to shine in that match and Sandow took it and ran. It was a very good match. Problem with Sandow is the roster is pretty deep right now. If this was a few years back he might have a better chance of advancement. At this point he's probably going to be a career midcarder but I doubt they will release him anytime soon.

Cool. Sounds like he's settling and has become confined to a lesser talent-like mentality. Oh well...there's always someone else.

Hes a good talent and good hand but that gimmick just reeks of lower-midcard status.Should have gave Cody the briefcase.

That cash in was or SHOULD have been a big moment in his career. that beat down of Cena made him look legit tough. and even though he lost the match, they could have built off of his new found aggression. but as usual they didn't.

That match was pretty wack minus the near falls, to me.

I felt he should have gotten the big gold belt at least once, but with Cena thrown into that picture I can't hate on WWE for going with the unification angle.

What hurt Sandow the most is that there's no Smackdown Championship anymore. Now that the titles are unified he's gonna have to wait in line behind.... A. Orton and Cena, B. any nikkas that return like Batista and Lesnar, and C. people that can create temporary ppv title matches storylines for like Punk, D-bry and Sheamus.
