Yeah, it's stupid and rings of forcing shyt because people need comparisons rather than just appreciating what people off.
Lebron's durability, versatility, basketball IQ, and overall skill set makes him unique unlike any other player we've seen. For his style of play, his durability and IQ are probably the best we've ever seen. Lebron is transcendent offensive player with elite versatility and talent.
Jordan's mixture of athletic gifts, high motor, unreal agility and body control, and sheer scoring ability is unlike anything we've never seen. He's not just an elite scorer, he's a TRANSEDCENT scorer with an elite all-around game.
Jordan has always been better to me but what Lebron does by maximizing his talents can't be understated. People don't realize it because it isn't always flashy but how Lebron simply imposes his will on things like tempo, pace, offense, and defense is something unseen.

I agree with what you said. But I have always said it is silly to compare the 2 just like when folks compared MJ to Bird and Magic.
MJ was expected with his team to do things Bird and Magic were not expected to do (take on the overall team scoring load, be the secondary lock down defender on 2s ans 3s...pip was the primary in most instances).
Just like Lebron is expected to do things with his team that was not expected of MJ (be the main defensive stopper, best rim protector, be the best rebounder with miami and run the offsense).
As I said before no one in the history of the game outside of Wilt has ever had the overall team responsibility that lebron has.
IMO that goes a long way when evaluating players.
