This Kanye album is absolutely atrocious

one of the best musical minds in rap history, how does this happen? first rap album i've listened to since "Life Is Good", was expecting some "New Slaves" vibe for the whole shyt.. lol, this shyt is terrible bro. he must be trollin with this, this can't be real, if i actually spent money on this and didn't illegally download i would post a hate video on youtube. kanye kardashian out here ruining his legacy,

He'll probably sell 300K+ first week with no singles, some SNL performances, and projection videos across the US. Almost all of the reviews from the media have been pretty positive and he'll probably end up winning another Grammy for something by the next awards show.

Opinions seem to be pretty divisive but after listening to that sample in On Sight, it wasn't a surprise breh.

He'll throw you a bone like Bound 2 but old Yeezy is gone. And I doubt he cares.

Are you sure his legacy is gonna be affected?
The album will add the following to his legacy; 88/100 on metacritic i.e. highest rated major label album, album of the year lists, concept, different, no singles/audio interviews etc.

If cats say fukk every media source and every official list, if they're fans they will still respect the effort, the super odd promotion, no label politics, crazy recording process, excellent mastering etc. If they are not fans, not official, his legacy just calling it trash it won't affect his legacy in any possible way.

Feel free to disagree as many on here have.

If you were looking for CD/LR Kanye or even the one from MBDTF, you came to the wrong place. After Black Skinhead and New Slaves, people should've expected something a lot different from the normal hiphop album breh.

It's not like he forgot how sound like the old Kanye. He just doesn't want to. That's not a bad thing.

It's funny how critics only matter when they're dikk riding something people like.

The same shyt happened with Pete Rosenberg. Came out talking about "C3" is a classic and Wayne is the GOAT....fans were talking about he's a great critic.

Fast forward a few years, he's shytting on Nicki Minaj and saying Wayne fell off. Now it's "nobody cares about his opinion".

You can't have it both ways.

And I think it's funny out of the 26 reviews that gave Kanye his 87% on Metacritic, only 2 are actually rap sites. The rest are alternative music or pop culture sites.

EDIT: And before someone says some dumb shyt like "it's not a rap album", FOH. Kanye is a rapper and so are all his ghost writers. Rapping over a different genre of music don't make it that genre. Nobody said Jungle Bros. was house music, or RUN DMC was rock.
