Side note from all that rant, did you know the peanut gallery is a racist term that they called the segregated upper galleries of theaters?
Mf if you were out in public with a lip like that, you would want someone to help you too
Sure but the bigger issue is how people subconsciously scan to find negativity in order to get their jokes off. We are in an era where people think everything needs a punchline. As if they are being graded with each post. The like button has created Pavlonian behaviors among a large segment of the population. This has even spilled over into real life. This is why you see so much anxiety, introvertedness, shyness. People basically just have "stage fright" without ever stepping on a stage

Intersting fun fact by the way, even worse is they used to call the balconies "n*gger heaven".
''The term "peanut gallery" initially described the cheap seats in theaters, where boisterous audience members would heckle performers and even throw peanuts. However, during the Jim Crow era, the term became associated with racial segregation. In the early 1920s, "peanut gallery" became a euphemism for the upper balcony in theaters where Black patrons were relegated."
But it seems like initially it wasnt used in that context. It was more of a classist term. Vaudville where the term apparently originated seems like they mostly segregated their audiences. They had a black vaudville circuit and a white vaudeville circuit for their black face acts. Which makes more sense unless black audiences enjoyed black face which i highly doubt. I cant imagine watching a show, and suddenly i got a black man performing black face that i gotta sit through, while white people busting a gut up front
