New Climate Maps Show a Transformed United States

Go head set your family up in the future and buy some cheap Northern land now, and invest in syntheticfood companies. Thats all the future gon be for your kids and grandkids. Some of these projections are :whoo:
Southern folks gon be fukked.
According to new data from the Rhodium Group analyzed by ProPublica and The New York Times Magazine, warming temperatures and changing rainfall will drive agriculture and temperate climates northward, while sea level rise will consume coastlines and dangerous levels of humidity will swamp the Mississippi River valley.

Taken with other recent research showing that the most habitable climate in North America will shift northward and the incidence of large fires will increase across the country, this suggests that the climate crisis will profoundly interrupt the way we live and farm in the United States. See how the North American places where humans have lived for thousands of years will shift and what changes are in store for your county.
By midcentury, heat and humidity in Missouri A will feel like Louisiana does today, while some areas we don't usually think of as humid, like southwestern Arizona B, will see soaring wet bulb temperatures because of factors like sun angle, wind speed and cloud cover reacting to high temperatures, according to Hannah Hess of the Rhodium Group.

Lmfao I live in South Florida and I've known I need to bounce based on projections. We're living like all of this won't be underwater in a few decades.

Gotta make the move in the next 5 years for sure.

I’ve always said that the reason why Chicago remains cheap compared to NYC and San Francisco is because of our brutal winters.

But if ever the scenario happened where we got warm weather for majority of the year, it would be a wrap. Chicago would become more expensive than San Fran. Y’all can add in Detroit and Toronto, too.

Brehs, start thinking about investing in the Great Lakes region.

good idea, but just want to say the return on investment is well into the future, 40+ years.

of course. folks should be thinking about setting things up for their children and grandchildren now. it’s not just about reaping investment returns during only our lifetime. but setting investments up now so they can be reaped during subsequent generation lifetimes.

Man this microwave generation doesn't care about the future generations.. Its now or never. Yet they complain about the wealth gap, and want to talk about generational wealth..
