NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
That's just odd. I have the total opposite experience. Dudes were sour on junior for that mess.
U gotta think about it fam..people loved that tour and they traveled the world...the whole recording process was organic and they were on location in Jamaica a lot of the time...people showed nothing but love..not everyone is gonna love it but some people do...I'm just not seeing what Tek n Steele did that was so much better than DR..and I enjoyed both projects...if u wanna talk about rappers than someone like Mos Def would've pulled it off better than both Nas and Smif n Wessun..

I just threw on DR for your sake. First song, which is one i used to think i liked was so wack....Damian talking bout willy wonka in a wild nerdy rap style....then the NEXT record has mad violins and a Lion King drums.....i had to hit eject, didn't even make it to that cornball K'naans verse.. I may go back and revisit the tracks you suggested last night but yeesh. I know good music. at the very least, for all my apparent flaws, i know some damn good music. DR ain't it.

and Mos is a pretentious doof. Smif N Wessun makes sense. They've been doing it.

Those are the same songs u claimed u didn't like from jump?..why would u start from them and not the ones I recommended to u first anyway?.. Then u turn the whole joint off based off it and not even get past the second track on the album?..come on fam.. Ur better than that..atleast check the tracks I posted..I NEVER listen to Strong Will Continue...I never liked that shyt..lol

The plan was to play the entire album. I was so repulsed after those 2 I didn't want my morning coffee routine blown.

I actually remember Africa Must Wake Up as a good song.

That song is alright I guess. I prefer the Smif n Wessun joints. Jr Kelly, junior Reid & Jahdan are all good singers to me in reggae context. I know Dennis is an OG but song is just okay to me.
