Peta one the most white privilege civil rights organizations of all time.
Took a personal preference, akin to not liking spinach, and twisted it into a morality debate/belief system.
To the point where they are think they justified in killing animals to protect them, and assault people with flower bombs because of their fashion choices.
Terrible terrible organization.

I'm all for reducing the suffering of livestock and giving animals decent living conditions. I only buy cage-free eggs for example.
IMO PETA should focus on winnable battles like pushing meat alternatives (e.g. Impossible burgers) and humane farming practices over trying to guilt people over the expensive turkey they just bought.
