I agree with every last word and punctuation about the Black Panthers and how laws were created in response to Black People asserting their Constitutional rights.
1,000% agree.
However. This is where is is important to make this point very loud, but flip it so everyone understands these potential Democratic party enacted laws impact everyone's rights. It's very important that white, black, everybody know this history.....so its not about partisan or racial shiit...but bring it squarely back to the Bill of Rights/Constitution.
They need motherfuuckers so cotdamn divided on party and racial lines, so they forget at the end of the day it's about protecting and securing rights for the people. Just as many black gun owners should be in Richmond saying chillout with these laws. Yet. I guarantee the media has only framed it as "white supremacist" march....and for ALOT of easily swayed black people...as soon as you say "white supremacist" everything shuts down...rightly so as it is a warning call, but it's ALSO used nefariously to prevent black folks from seeing past the bullshiit into the reality.
Emotion kicks in and takes over.
When it should be emotion kicking in, BUT THEN critical objective analysis of the situation takes over.
The reality is these are extraordinary gun laws against a ALL gun owners in the state, conservative leaning white people just the most vocal against it.
